And so it begins - Mani and I have bought our first home together.
It feels amazing, probably should have happened years ago but it's done now. We're on the ladder and it feels giddy at the top.
Most people for their first home, so I'm told, buy something that they can move straight into and add their personal belongings to make it their own. Mani and I on the other hand, have bought a project house. We could see the potential in the place and had probably been watching too many episodes of Property Ladder (
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/property-ladder/). So with Sarah Beeny's voice in the back of our minds we took the plunge.
The purpose of this blog is to keep you up to date on our progress - the trials and tribulations, successes and failures and to vent our frustration and share our joy of owning (and completely renovating) our first home.
